The game was 3 – 3 after regulation time, and was still tied 1-1 after three shooters.
It took the fourth shooter to score for Thoms to break the tie and steal the Puffer Championship Cup.

‘Confident’ Thoms wanted to cap a perfect season against eHomes Realty
No one knew the situation that Thoms was facing quite like Rick Chappell.
Playing for an underdog team that’s down in a playoff series, to a higher seeded eHomes club?
Been there. Done that.
That’s a tidbit that will be referenced for years, especially given Chappell was a rookie on the other team that famously came back from down 3-0 in the Puffer league four years ago.
The similarities between that team and the current edition are certainly there on the roster – about a dozen regulars remain in the lineup – but in the interim, they won the Puffer Cup and established themselves as one of the best teams in the East.
Even so, the Thom's inability to win “close out” games is already getting attention from the media, and Chappell is getting attention from being a member of the a team in one of those games.
